Acknowledgement for the late Joe Rice (Jonesboro)

Rice, Joe.

We, the family of the late Joe Rice, Lower Faughill, Jonesboro wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on the recent sad bereavement of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, father in law and brother.

Thank you to those who attended the wake and funeral, sent mass cards and messages of sympathy.

To our family, friends, neighbours and the businesses who brought food to our home, it was very much appreciated. Thank you to Ferryhill Marquees for supplying the marquees for the wake.

Thanks to those who helped in the house and to our extended family, friends and neighbours for their kindness and support at such a difficult time.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Joe in Daisy Hill and Craigavon Area Hospitals, especially the staff at the Mandeville Unit in Craigavon for their professional and compassionate care shown to Joe throughout his illness. Our appreciation also to the staff at Meigh Surgery and Meigh Pharmacy.

Our special gratitude to the dedication of Fr. White in creating such a beautiful and personal tribute to Joe during the funeralmass and also for the compassion shown to us in those difficult days. Thank you to Una Silclir for the lovely music and singing and to those who participated in the funeral mass and made it so special.

A special thank you to Hugh Morgan for his compassionate support to Joe throughout his illness, and to the staff of Morgan Fuels for their guard of honour in bringing Joe home and at his funeral. Also a word of thanks to St Mary’s High School for their guard of honour at the funeral.

Many thanks to Dromintee Gac for helping with car parking at the wake and for supplying catering equipment and chairs, as well as the use of the club. Thank you to McEntee’s for the lovely food after the funeral.

Our heartfelt appreciation to Cathal and Méabh and all at McAnulty’s Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.

Joe’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 2 at 6pm in Sacred Heart Church, Jonesboro.
