In December 2024, Harry McNeely of Sojourn Coffee, celebrated his third Christmas on Barrack Street, Armagh.
Speaking to Armagh I, the popular coffee shop owner gave us a little insight into working in the city during the festive season…
Said Harry: “Christmas time in Armagh definitely picks up, you see so many more new faces coming in who are maybe out and about the town shopping then call in for a coffee afterwards.
“Some customers that come through our doors are asking for advice of where to get something and we are always happy to point them in the right direction. It’s always nice to see customers coming in with shopping bags as it shows they have supported local businesses.
“You also see customers that are usually in at the weekend coming in midweek because they have the holidays off.
“We work shorter days over the Christmas period to give the staff that extra time off and I always make sure we have enough staff working so nobody is feeling under pressure!”
