10-year-old boy approached suspiciously in county Armagh

Police in Craigavon are appealing for information following a suspicious approach in the Legahory area.

A 10-year-old boy was walking through the parking area at the Doctor’s Surgery in Legahory around 4.10pm on Tuesday, January 20, when a lone male asked him to assist him with getting his dog out of the car.

The car is described as a red/plum coloured people carrier type vehicle with a Scooby Doo sticker in the back window. The boy walked on and the man made no attempt to reach out to him, impede him or pursue him.

The man is described as being aged in his mid thirties, around 5ft 10in tall, of average build with short, dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and baggy, light blue Nike track bottoms.

Constable Christopher Rainey said:  “We are working to establish the exact circumstances of this incident and we would like to hear from the man who asked for help with his dog. We would ask him, or anyone who witnessed this incident, to contact us in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 713200115.”
