£130,000 roadworks announced for Craigavon

A £130,000 road improvements scheme has been confirmed for Craigavon, Co Armagh.

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy revealed: “My Department’s Roads Service will strengthen and resurface approximately 470 metres of Brownlow Road between Roundabouts D and E in Central Craigavon. The works will also include the resurfacing of Roundabout E.”

During the works it will be necessary to close this portion of Brownlow Road, from Monday, January 20 until Tuesday, February 4.

While the works are in progress, traffic will be diverted via Knockmenagh Road, Mandeville Road, Lake Road, Drumgor Road and Moyraverty West Road. These roads will be clearly signed for the assistance of the public.

Roads Service and the contractor say they will make every effort to minimise inconvenience and would ask that the public exercise caution and patience.

As with all works of this nature, planned dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and Roads Service will keep the public informed of any unavoidable change.
