Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a number of creeper burglaries in the Lurgan and Portadown areas on Thursday night.
A yellow Hyundai Veloster was taken by thieves who entered a house in the Beechwood Manor area of Portadown removing the keys before stealing the vehicle.
A silver Nissan Almera Tino car was also taken with the keys from a house in Garland Mews in Lurgan during the early hours of this morning.
Detectives are investigating a possible connection between these burglaries and a silver Renault Scenic found abandoned on the hard shoulder of the M1 city bound just past Lurgan at around 3.15am.
The car, registration FCZ 9790, had been spotted earlier close to an address in Turmoyra Court in Lurgan where the householder disturbed three men in the driveway of his home at around 1.50am.
The Scenic has now been seized by police for examination.
Anyone with information about the burglaries or the movements of the Renault Scenic is asked to contact Lurgan CID on the non-emergency number 101.
