Ewarts Jewellers, located on Scotch Street Armagh, first opened their doors in June 1987, by Mervyn Ewart, offering quality jewellery, accessories and watches.
Working alongside Mervyn where sons Clifford and Paul Ewart, who started off in the business working weekends and after school.
In 2009, Ewarts moved to a larger premises which offered more room for jewellery displays and stock.
After moving to their new premises, Mervyn retired the same year with sons Clifford and Paul taking control of the business with the next generation, Paul’s daughter Alanna, already following in her father’s footsteps working weekends.

Paul specialises in jewellery repairs after taking an array of repair courses throughout his career, with Clifford focusing on watch repairs, special orders and custom jobs.
Clifford says: ‘Trends are always changing and at the moment yellow gold jewellery has been very popular again in the last few years, especially with the younger generation embracing old styles.
“For years we couldn’t sell yellow or rose gold, everyone wanted white gold and now it’s the complete opposite.
“The comeback of yellow gold jewellery is good for us when fixing and polishing, it’s the easiest metal to work with and look after”.
