Armagh’s Market Place Theatre are promising to take you through the festive season starting with the seasonal favourite – the pantomime – and ending with the one and only Neil Delamere… taking you through to the New Year in good humour!

Beauty and the Beast 

Be our guest this Christmas at The Market Place Theatre’s festive pantomime spectacular, ‘Beauty And The Beast’. Prepare yourself for a tale as old as time, but told in a way you won’t have seen the like of before!

Can Belle save the day before the last petal falls from the enchanted rose? Join our heroine as she tries to break the Wicked Fairy’s curse and escape the castle of the ‘monstrous’ Beast… but is he really as bad as he seems? There’ll be Talking Teapots, Singing Candlesticks, Dancing Dogs and a bunch of Wily Wolves to deal with, but with your help, can Belle REVERSE THE CURSE?

Beauty And The Beast will be sure to make you laugh, sing, shout and cheer as you fall in love with a host of hilarious (and hairy) characters. Get ready for magic, music and mayhem aplenty, all rolled up in one action-packed show that’s sure to be simply the beast!

Cantilena at Christmas

Seasonal favourites Cantilena return to The Market Place Theatre to get you in the festive spirit as we count down to Christmas once again.

The group will perform seasonal classics, both sacred and secular, in their typical close harmony style and take you behind the scenes of the songs and their origins.

There will also be some solos or duets throughout the program as the group invite you to join them around the Christmas tree as they get in the festive spirit.

A truly magical mix of popular festive carols and songs, served up in the splendid surroundings of The Market Place Theatre dressed for Christmas, along with seasonal refreshments included in the ticket price, promises an evening to remember as we ring in this very special time of year.

The Legend of Luke Kelly – Dubliner!

This highly acclaimed show celebrating the iconic Luke Kelly of The Dubliners returns to Armagh for what promises to be yet another memorable performance. Featuring the acclaimed vocals of arguably one of Ireland’s finest ballad voices of today, Chris Kavanagh, this performance will take the audience on a journey through the numerous hit songs and music of the legendary Luke Kelly of The Dubliners. Having already toured Ireland, mainland Europe and Australia, this is a folk and ballad concert not to be missed.

Accompanied by some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, Chris Kavanagh’s singing talent captures the depth and passion of this folk legend. So much so that Chris was invited to tour with The Dubliners on their final European tour, where he received rave reviews across mainland Europe.

Christmas Country Showtime with the Stars

The highly acclaimed Christmas Country Showtime with the Stars returns by popular demand featuring a galaxy of Ireland’s top recording stars who promise another action-packed night of entertainment.

Making her first Market Place visit is Ireland’s new Country music singing sensation, Effie Neill. After winning the ‘Cowboy & Heroes’ Big Country talent competition in 2023, she hit the top of the charts with her debut single, ‘Country is the Best’. Effie will be joined by the great Country voices of Joe Moore and Matt Leavey, as well as 2025 Glór Tíre winner, the sensational Paddy Banjo Treacy.

The one and only Sean Wilson promises to take the audience on a musical trip down memory lane with a selection of sing-along hits on his accordion. Young singing wonder Amber Campbell is back by overwhelming demand, in the company of The Barry Doyle Band and the brilliant Jo Mac. Compere for the evening, Sean Wallace, will keep the action flowing.

Our comedic adventurer returns with a brand-new stand-up show, packed to the brim of tall tales and hilarious stories.

Join the star of The Blame Game, Live at the Apollo, QI and Celebrity Chase as he ponders the eternal question, if it ain’t broke should he fix it?
