Appeal for information following two separate hit and run reports in Newry and Armagh

Police are appealing for information in relation to two separate hit and run collisions in the Armagh and Newry areas.

A report was received of a hit and run road traffic collision on the Annareagh Road outside Richhill.

This has occurred at approximately 22:50 on Sunday July 20, 2025. As a result, a motorist has been left with a shattered window and a number of scrapes and dents to the bodywork of their vehicle.

It is alleged that a white coloured HGV vehicle was involved in this collision. Police are keen to speak with the driver.

If you witnessed this collision, or were driving in the area at this time, and your vehicle has dash camera footage, please get in touch. Similarly, if you have CCTV that covers the Annareagh Road, please also get in touch.

The second report relates to a hit and run road traffic collision occurring at the Junction of Canal Street and Catherine Street, Newry on the July 17 at approximately 22.15 hours.

A reported stolen Audi, A4, Vehicle registration; VJZ5880 was travelling along Catherine Street and collided with a Black, Mercedes, GLB that was travelling on Canal Street towards Newry.

The Audi vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision.

The Mercedes vehicle had a young baby on board and Police would appreciate assistance with any CCTV, dash cam footage or any other information, please contact 101 quoting Police Serial Number: 1855 – 17/07/2025.
