Two of three men arrested following the theft of a car in Armagh city on Tuesday morning have been released without charge.
A third man – arrested at a property in Co Monaghan – appeared in Cavan District Court on Thursday morning.
A Gardaí spokesperson said: “[We] arrested three men in connection with an incident of alleged theft, further to a search operation, which occurred in Co. Monaghan on March 19.
“The three men (aged in their 30’s, 40’s and 60’s) were detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Garda Stations in the Co. Monaghan area.
“Two men (aged in their 30’s and 60’s) were subsequently released without charge.
“The male aged in his 40’s appeared before Cavan District Court, yesterday morning, Thursday 21st March 2024 at 10.30am.
“As this matter is now before the courts, there will be no further comment at this time.”
