A house in Armagh was burgled as its single occupant was attending an early morning mass in the city.
Police report that a home in Cavanacaw Park, on the Markethill Road, was targeted around 10.30am this morning (Friday).
It is unclear if anything was stolen in the break-in, but Armagh I understand the sole male occupant of the house was out at mass at the time.
This is the latest in a line burglaries targeted at older people in the county with Bessbrook pensioner Eugene Carr attacked in his bed at the end of August.
Milford woman Muriel Diffin was targeted in a sickening break-in just over a week prior to Mr Carr as she attended her husband’s funeral.
Unfortunately for her, a large amount of cash, gold rings and other items were taken as she buried her husband Espie.
