An Armagh man who had been accused of stabbing a woman after taking her home from a house party has been found not guilty.
Barry John Dullaghan, with a previous address of Cathedral Road, Armagh, was acquitted of the charge by a jury at Newry Crown Court on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old had originally been arrested for allegedly raping the woman he met at a house party in Belfast on March 10, 2017.
However, this charge was subsequently dropped, with Mr Dullaghan insisting throughout, that any sex had been consensual.
On Wednesday, the jury found him not guilty of a single count of unlawfully and maliciously wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
A previous court sitting heard how Mr Dullaghan and the accuser had in fact been texting each other for three weeks prior to March 10, 2017 and that they met at a train station in Belfast on the night in question before going together to a Holiday Inn hotel.
It was also heard that they travelled back to Armagh together in a taxi.
Mr Dullaghan had been banned from entering Belfast City Centre as a result of strict bail conditions imposed, following his arrest.
