An Armagh man who called a woman believed to be his ex-fiancee a “f****** slut” has been fined £150.
Court heard how the 23-year-old persisted with this abuse despite being warned by police on several occasions.
Andrew Clarke, of Tullybrone Road, was convicted in his absence of disorderly behaviour at Craigavon Magistrates’ on Friday.
It was heard that on October 15, at around 1.26am, police on patrol of Mandeville Street, Portadown, observed the defendant shouting abuse at a female, who was speaking to an officer at the time.
After calling the female a “f****** slut”, Clarke was asked by police to calm down.
However, the defendant continued despite his friends trying to make him move on.
And after being given one final warning the defendant failed to stop and was cautioned by police.
Clarke was ordered to pay a fine of £150, along with the offender’s levy of £15, within four weeks.
