An Armagh pizza outlet is hoping to take a bigger slice of the hot food market in the city.
Domino’s Pizza at Mall West is hoping to expand on site.
It is aiming to add a substantial seated area to its Armagh premises – and create 10 new jobs.
The fast food retailer – which was founded in the United States – has operated successfully as a carryout premises for a number of years now.
Domino’s Pizza UK and Ireland Plc now wants to take over the former video and DVD rental store next door and create a new seated facility.
The premises, used most recently as a fancy dress costume shop, has been largely vacant since January 2015.
If given the go-ahead, it will amalgamate the existing pizza outlet with the vacant premises to provide a dining area for customers.
An application for a change of use has gone to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for consideration.
Papers submitted as part of the application have indicated a dining area close to 170 sq metres and an increase of 10 new employees.
A decision would be expected within the next number of months.
