Police in Armagh have again been forced to take action after reports of people swimming in quaries.
The warmer weather has seen police responding to reports of this dangerous practice both yesterday (Monday) and today (Tuesday).
A very warm week has been forecast and it is an age old problem of trying to keep quarries clear.
Police want this type of dangerous activity to stop before lives are lost.
The PSNI says: “While we want people to enjoy the sun we need them to be responsible. Quarries present a number of dangers to people and this message is simple ‘don’t swim in quarries and parents make sure you know where your children are socialising during the good weather’.
“The last thing police want is for the good weather to be over shadowed by bad news.”
