Claims teenagers’ illicit encounters and anti-social behaviour nightmare for city residents

Teenagers are having sex in full public view, as anti-social behaviour in some Armagh city estates has escalated, it has been claimed.

One Armagh man, who asked not be named, contacted Armagh I to highlight the dire situation.

He says it has become so bad that residents in some estates – including Druids Villas, Culdee and Windmill Avenue – are afraid to leave their homes.

“The anti-social behaviour where I live in Armagh is getting worse,” he explained.

“There are motorbikes flying up and down on the grass area and even cars use it as a short cut, even quad bikes are being burnt.”

The man, who lives at Druid’s Villas but says it affects a number of estates, also says that underage drinking and other anti-social activities are rife, particularly at the weekends.

“They stand drinking outside the houses and even adults and under 18s are having sex outside houses.

“In the area area I live no-one wants to know and they let them do what they want.

“There is a group of lads going around harassing people.”
