A woman who attempted to leave an Armagh-based retail premises without paying for items engaged in a “struggle” with staff before leaving the area.
The incident occurred on Friday (January 23) shortly after 2pm at the Spires Retail Park, Armagh.
It is understood a woman attempted to leave with duvets she had not paid for when confronted by staff at the doors.
A video sent to Armagh I shows the woman in question continuing to pull at the duvet as staff attempt to take it from her, resulting in a “tug of war” over the property at the entrance to the store.
Witnesses say a member of the public then stepped in to assist staff. The person then left the area.
Police confirmed they were called to a report of an attempted theft at commercial premises on Moy Road, Armagh at around 2.10pm on Friday, 23rd January.
Their enquiries are ongoing.
