They say nothing comes for free in this life but in that they are wrong!
For an Armagh retailer is planning to give away free coffee this Friday.
In exchange, customers at O’Kane’s Superstore are being urged to make a small donations towards the ongoing fundraising campaign known as ‘Team Emily’.
It is the latest in a series of community efforts to help raise money to send little Emily Toal to the United States for a life-changing operation.
Emily was born in May with TAR Syndrome, which means she is missing her radius bone in both forearms. Therefore, she has clubbed hands, a curved ulna bone in her forearms and a low platelet count.
Team Emily was set up to raise money for an operation which will improve mobility, strength and growth and give her as close to normal hand and wrist function as possible.
The free coffee day at O’Kane’s Superstore is another fundraiser to take Team Emily closer to that goal.
The event takes place this Friday, November 30 – please come along and show your support!
Elsewhere on Friday night, between 7-10pm, Newlook in Armagh is hosting a Ladies Night in aid of Team Emily – and everyone is welcome. There will be goodie bags for the first 30 people, with light refreshments, a make-up demo, clothes modelling and a raffle on the night in aid of Team Emily.
