An Armagh-based group – which offers new opportunities for adults with learning difficulties and autism and physical disabilities – is making an appeal for help to make a dream night a reality.

Triple A is planning to hold a second charity ball in August.

And they are on the search for a DJ or band or both who can offer their services free of charge to make it happen.

It really is a highlight for those who attend.

Triple A – which stands for Autism, Action, Armagh – has already secured a venue for the big event, which is due to take place on Saturday, August 31.

A spokesperson said Triple A’s aim is to allow those attending to learn new skills and be integrated into their local community.

She said: “The adults who attend can form and maintain friendships by meeting three days a week at Dobbin Street Community Centre.

“We fundraise to allow our group to continue and rely solely on donations by the public .

“We plan to hold a charity ball every year at Armagh City Hotel.

“The hotel have given us the use of a function room free of charge and we are hoping a generous band or DJ may donate a few hours to entertain the guests.”
