A band parade is to be held in Armagh next Saturday to mark the 100th anniversary of the formation of Northern Ireland.
The event, which is due to get underway at 7.45pm, is being organised by Drumderg Loyalist Flute Band, Keady.
Promoted as the Armagh City Centenary Parade – on Saturday, May 29 – a total of three bands will take part.
The Centenary Parade moves off from various points on the Mall Armagh.
The procession will travel along Mall East, Victoria Street, Drumadd Terrace, Barrack Hill, Gough Avenue, Barrack Street, Scotch Street, Market Street, English Street, College Street and returned to Mall East.
The bands will stop at the Cenotaph to lay wreaths in memory of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice over the 100 years.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: “This parade is a notified procession with all bands, over recent weeks, forming their social bubbles. A risk assessment has been completed and in place for the parade.
“However, all spectators are asked to obey all Government guidelines and restrictions, particularly with social distancing.
“We are kindly asking everyone to cooperate with our marshals and not to approach or follow the bands.
“A collection will be conducted on the evening for various local charities. As always we thank you in advance for your support.
“Please feel free to come along and support this event in a safe and friendly environment.”
