Looking and feeling good has never been more important, and a newly opened clinic in Armagh is bringing health and wellness to the fore with the very latest in clinical technology.
Alora Rejuvenation is a revolutionary clinic, offering a range of treatments all under one roof using cutting-edge technology.
Some of the machines are the only ones in Ireland, and the clinic’s goal is to achieve results, while at the same time keeping the client’s safety and well-being uppermost.
Based in a tastefully decorated Georgian house at 10 Russell Street, the business is the brainchild of Keady woman Ciara Elmore (née O’Reilly) and her five entrepreneurial siblings.
The brothers and sisters are the founders of flooring company KonFloor, which began in Armagh in 2005 and now employs 70 people.
Ciara, a mother of two, initially became interested in skincare after developing rosacea during her pregnancies and as time went on she researched more and more about the technological and scientific side of the industry.
‘Alora’ means beautiful dream in Latin and the opening of the clinic at the start of October represents the realisation of a vision to offer a complete approach to health and well-being.
The same level of research and professional attention to detail that went into launching KonFloor has gone into this new business, and no expense has been spared either in the technology or the decor.
The clinic is divided into different suites, each designed to promote feelings of calmness and relaxation.
Treatments range from facials, treating problems such as acne and pigment disorders, to body treatments including lymphatic drainage for cellulite and fat loss.
Laser hair removal is available for all skin types as well as laser pain relief for conditions such as frozen shoulder.
The clinic also has a tattoo removal machine, the only one in Ireland at present, which works on all colours, with sessions lasting just seconds.
One of the most popular treatments to date is the BTL Emsella chair, a non-invasive physiotherapy treatment which is suitable for people suffering from urinary incontinence.
Ciara points out that many women, including those who have gone through childbirth, suffer from pelvic floor issues, leading to embarrassing problems such as leaking urine when coughing or sneezing.
During each 28-minute session, clients sit fully clothed on the chair while it generates thousands of pelvic floor muscle contractions. Each session is equivalent to doing 11,000 pelvic floor exercises.
Another extremely popular treatment is the BTL Lymphastim, a ‘suit’ that enhances lymphatic drainage and boosts circulation.
Meanwhile, Alora Rejuvenation also boasts the FX 635 Laser – the first and only laser in the world to be given market clearance in the USA for the treatment of pain such as chronic lower back pain, migraines and post-operative pain.
Alora Rejuvenation will also have its own resident doctor, Dr Paul Deignan from Lumadoc, available every Thursday.
Dr Deignan, who trained as a surgeon before undertaking aesthetics training in Ireland and the UK, specialises in anti wrinkle injections, lip, cheek and jawline enhancements, Profhilo, collagen boosting, weight management and wellness treatments.
And looking to the future, the clinic is planning on offering a chirotherapy chamber, for recovery post-exercise or post-surgery.
Ciara is assisted by clinic manager Louise Finnighan-Linkins, who has 15 years’ experience in the industry, and skin and body specialists Clodagh Murphy, Kerrie Quinn and Rachel McCaughey.
Louise is equally passionate about the new venture. She said: “We weren’t willing to compromise on the machines so we have only the very best here. This is results-driven treatment and people go out feeling lighter.
“I think people are becoming more aware and are researching where they are going for treatment. It’s a journey of discovery for many people, finding out what they really need as opposed to what they think they need.”
Consultations are an integral part of the client’s treatment plan and the clinic is passionate about offering only treatments that are suitable and safe for each individual’s needs.
Ciara added: “Being accountable and ethical is a major factor for us. We know what we are offering is truly remarkable.”
The official opening of Alora Rejuvenation will be held on Friday, November 4 from 4.30-8.30 and anyone interested in finding out more is welcome to go along for a tour of the building and treatment rooms. Refreshments will also be served.
