A fire at the old Foresters building on Market Street in Armagh is believed to have been arson.
Details of the incident – which happened in the middle of a busy Saturday afternoon – have been confirmed.
NI Fire and Rescue Service were alerted shortly after 3.30pm on May 30.
Two appliances – one from Keady and the other from Portadown – were tasked to the scene.
The fire had been set in the INF premises at Market Street, which has been vacant and boarded up for many years.
A spokesperson for NIFRS told Armagh I: “Firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a derelict building on Market Street, Armagh.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one jet and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.”
The cause of the fire was believed to be “deliberate ignition”.
Crews spent over an hour at the scene to ensure the fire was extinguished, with the incident dealt with by 4.41pm.
