Reports of a loud ‘bomb’ like noise in Armagh city was a result of a roof collapsing in the area.
Armagh I received several reports of a loud noise shortly after 10pm on Friday night.
One woman reportedly felt her windows shake such was the force of the collapse.
Another reported a “bomb” going off in the area.
Several reports came in from residents in the Drumadd and Ballinhone areas, however, police did not confirm the exact location of the incident.
When contacted by Armagh I, police did confirm that a “loud noise was reported following the collapse of part of a roof at a house in the area last night”.
They added: “There was no evidence of any crime.”
