It’s a big day for the Orange, with the Thirteenth in Scarva and thousands also set to descend on Croke Park as Armagh hope to end a 19-year wait for a place in the All-Ireland final.
It’s a weekend of celebration for all sides of our community and it’s a big one for one Armagh chippy too, and they are generously marking the occasion with a breakfast free-for-all — quite literally.
Decky’s Takeaway, based on the Cathedral Road, is celebrating its third birthday.
“To help celebrate, we thought we’d give something back to our customers and the good people of Armagh,” read the post on their social media.
“As many of you are aware, tomorrow morning (Saturday) is going to be a very busy morning for people going places; Croke Park / Scarva, so I thought I will open up the shop at 9am and do a FREE breakfast for everyone.
“I’ll be doing bacon baps, and sausage baps and packets of crisps to take the stress out of people’s journeys.
“This is all FREE OF CHARGE, please like and share folks, don’t want to see good food going to waste, hope everyone has a good and safe weekend.”
A brilliant gesture from one of our local independent businesses.
C’mon Armagh and best of luck to those heading to the Sham fight in Scarva – both are too close to call…
