Champion Armagh fundraiser, Willie Nugent, has added another feather to his cap with the release of a brand new charity CD.
The song, titled ‘The Steps’, is a tribute to the iconic steps at St Patrick’s RC Cathedral in Armagh — a place steeped in history and significance for many in the city.
Penned by Willie himself, the track was recorded at The Dublin Studio Hub and performed by acclaimed singer Larry Hogan.
In true Willie style, every penny raised will go straight back into the community, with all proceeds from the CD going towards the Cathedral’s upkeep and restoration funds.
The CDs are priced at just £5 each and are available from a number of local outlets including the Cathedral Shop, Raffles, Curran’s Spar shop, Macari’s Newsagents, Dessie’s, and Armagh Blooms.
Willie, who has raised tens of thousands of pounds for various causes over the years through everything from raffles to light-hearted local books, shows no signs of slowing down.
