City of Armagh High School was filled with excitement on Thursday as pupils collected an impressive set of GCSE results.

An outstanding 84.5% of students completing five or more GCSEs or equivalent qualifications achieved grades A*-C, reflecting both the school’s commitment to meeting the needs of all learners and the determination of the Class of 2026.

Principal Mrs Mulholland praised the pupils for their hard work and highlighted the success of the school’s personalised pathway system, which allows students to pursue courses suited to their strengths and ambitions.

She also commended the partnership with Southern Regional College, where 92% of pupils studying occupational courses achieved grades A*-C.
Worth the wait!
Several subjects recorded a 100% A*-C pass rate, including Further Mathematics, Home Economics, BTEC ICT, BTEC Business, French and Geography, while Mathematics and English also showed significant improvement.

Mrs Mulholland said she was proud of the Class of 2026, describing the results as “a reward for their determination, positive attitude and willingness to embrace challenges”.
She congratulated all pupils on their achievements and wished them every success in the future.
