A Co Armagh pair accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a child will face Crown Court later this year.
Court heard that the man and woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were alleged to have committed the offences between February 25 and April 1, 2016.
The pair appeared charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and causing or allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Standing in the dock the pair made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.
It was heard that the offences were alleged to have occurred between February 25 and April 1, 2016.
Prosecution stated: “It is my respectful submission that based on the papers before the court there is a prima facie case to answer.”
Defence counsel argued for a restriction on reporting the pair’s identities, which was upheld by District Judge Paul Copeland.

The pair were released on their own bail of £500 to appear before Newry Court on October 10.
