A Co Armagh student drove away in a brand new Range Rover Evoque after picking up the style award on Ladies Day of Grand National festival at Aintree on Friday.
Robyn-May Quinn, 19, scooped the prize for her beige dress with a floral design and a beaded headband with a leaf design.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo after her win, Robyn said: “I went for the tiara as I thought that suited the dress the most.
“But it’s just surreal, I don’t think it’s set in yet, I can’t believe it. It’s amazing.”
She added: “It’s my second time at Aintree, I came last year too but didn’t enter.
“When we were coming in somebody said to us why don’t you enter so I did.
“I think it might have been the flowers and the colours and the hat [… which caught the judges’ eyes]”
Hat and headpiece maker Aimee Farrell Designs, from Camlough, was delighted, saying: “My amazing client Robyn-May just went & gone and won Aintree Racecourse best dressed lady!!! Chuffed would be an understatement!”
The main Grand National race begins at 5.15pm today.
