
A County Armagh man has appeared in court on charges relating to an alleged campaign of sexual abuse of a child relative.
The accused who is aged in his 40s but cannot be named to protect the identity of the child currently faces a total of six charges.
These comprise two counts of sexually assaulting a child, one count of sexual activity involving penetration and three counts of sexual activity with a child relative.
The majority of offending is alleged to have occurred on various dates between 2012 and 2015, however there are also matters over the course of 2023.
A police officer aware of the facts of the case told Craigavon Magistrates Court all charges could be connected.
No further details surrounding the circumstances of the alleged offences were disclosed during the short hearing where the accused spoke only to confirm his name and that he understood the charges against him.
District Judge Michael Ranaghan remanded the accused on continuing and imposed a number of conditions including no contact with the alleged victim or any witnesses.
He is also to have no unsupervised contact with any child save for inadvertent and if this occurs, he is to remove himself from the scene immediately.
The case is to return to court on 26 September.
