A daughter of the former Mayor of Armagh has passed away.
Freda Donnelly, a ex-city councillor for the DUP, announced that her eldest daughter, Helen, had passed away on Monday.
A post on the Arose Coffee Shop social media account, which Freda runs with another daughter, Sharon, read: “Our Helen. Yesterday evening we lost our daughter and sister, we are completely devastated and heartbroken.
“We really appreciate all your prayers and lovely messages at this extremely difficult time.
“Helen was an amazing mum, auntie, daughter and sister. Anyone that knew Helen was blessed to have her in their life and we’ll be lost without her. Freda and Sharon x. ‘To be with Christ which is far better’ Philippians 1v23.”
The coffee shop, at Woodview Garden Centre, has been closed until further notice.
Funeral details have not been published at this time.
