Female runner knocked down in Armagh road collision remains critical as police renew appeal

Police have issued a renewed appeal for information and witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car on Thursday, November 27.

Sergeant Rooney said: “We received a report at around 6.45am of a road traffic collision in the vicinity of the Monaghan Road. It was reported that a woman was running along the Monaghan Road, close to Armagh, when she was struck by a vehicle.

“Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. The woman, aged in her 50s was subsequently taken to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we would appeal to anyone with any information, including CCTV, dash-cam or other footage, to contact us on the 101 number, quoting reference 137 of 27/11/25.

“We are particularly keen to speak to the drivers of any vehicle which was in the area at the time. Any information you have may be very helpful to our investigation.
