A former Armagh photographer, who is alleged to have filmed a woman as she was getting changed for a glamour shoot, will go on trial tomorrow (Tuesday).
William McConnell appeared charged with voyeurism.
Newry Crown Court today heard that the 61-year-old – with an address in Strabane – was originally from Armagh, where the alleged voyeurism took place.
The act was alleged to have happened on February 27, 2014 during a “glamour photography shoot”.
It was also heard that the defendant was at the time a “civilian photographer attached to the police service”.
This was noted by McConnell’s defence counsel, who did not wish for a biased jury, which was sworn in ahead of the trial commencement.
The case will begin tomorrow (Tuesday) and is expected to run the length of the week, with the chance of it taking up until Monday to complete.
