With over 125 years in the heart of Armagh, one institution has been and will continue to trade through the pandemic come what may.
Trimprint has been ever changing and adapting to keep up with the times and needs of the consumer. Trimprint was always a printing company, even when it was the Guardian.
Jeremy Trimble is the fourth generation of Trimbles, with the business actually beginning when his great-great grandfather Samuel Delmege Trimble took over the Armagh Guardian back in 1893.
The newspaper ceased publication in 1982 and in its place came the printing, stationery and office supply store which currently occupies the premises on Upper English Street.
Speaking to Armagh I, Jeremy’s wife, Carolyn explained: “We have a stationery shop on English Street, which everybody sees, but the main print works, which is behind it, is run by by Jeremy and it doesn’t stop.
“We print for many large essential businesses including the NHS and throughout lockdown the Print Works has stayed constant, with our dedicated staff working hard to keep our business working”.
Trimprint also have a van which has been on the road delivering supplies to offices throughout the county.
Retailers will be shutting up shop for two weeks on Friday but Trimprint have put into effect a click and collect service for their customers.
Since lockdown, one major trend has emerged and that has been the purchasing of ink cartridges.
As Carolyn explains: “it’s great to see people supporting local companies, especially for items such as Ink Cartridges which is essential for home working. As a thank you to Armagh I members, we running an exclusive offer – Buy any Ink Cartridge and get a FREE realm of paper. Similarly, buy any diary over £10 and get free Helix pens with every purchase”.
Trimprint also have a plethora of art supplies for those who have perhaps taken up a new hobby over lockdown – or fancy taking one up.
Have a look at their stock on their website, with over 23,000 office products, and if they don’t have what you need get in contact to see if an order can be made.
