Four people have been taken to hospital following a head-on collision outside Armagh on Thursday morning.
The crash, involving two cars, happened at Allen’s Corner on the Drumcairn Road shortly before 9am.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and it is understood there were children travelling in at least one of the vehicles at the time.
A spokesperson for the NI Ambulance Service (NIAS) said they received a call at 8.55am.
“NIAS despatched four emergency ambulances to the incident and following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, four patients were taken to Craigavon Area Hospital by ambulance.”
A police spokesperson said they attended the incident alongside colleagues from NIAS and NI Fire and Rescue Service.
“A number of casualties were taken to hospital for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening”, they said.
Enquiries into the collision are ongoing.
A NIFRS spokesperson added: “Firefighters were called to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All six casualties were out of their vehicle on arrival of firefighters and left in the care of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Firefighters left the incident at 9.53am.”
