Here’s the FULL schedule for Man V Horse in Armagh

It’s the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, as epic adventurer Stevey McGeown from Armagh will be racing against a horse for 24 hours non-stop in his latest ‘off the wall’ challenges.

In 2015, Stevey ran 100 marathons in 100 days, and in 2016 he ran 60 ultra marathons in 60 days – circling the length of Ireland.

He will be running a course within Armagh Palace Grounds and will be completing laps until the 24h challenge is complete.

The grand challenge takes place this Friday 30 June 2017 from 2pm for a full 24 hours until 2pm on Saturday 1 July 2017.

The event is raise awareness of Autism.  Each year in Northern Ireland, 300 children are diagnosed with autism and many adults with Aspergers. All proceeds from this event are in aid of ‘Run for Autism HAND’ – a charity supporting those living with autism and their families in the Newry, Mourne and Down and Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon areas of Northern Ireland.   The charity funds a range of local autism support groups.

Highlights of the Event

The 24 hour event will be a family fun festival with lots of activities and entertainment available throughout and everyone can get involved in the challenge no matter how small or big.

Activities include a series of official running events along Stevey during his challenge; a western themed fancy dress parade for kids, a balloon launch, 24 hours live entertainment by artists such as Hair o’ The Dog and Martin Rafferty and Northern Lights, local dance clubs, local schools, a fun fair, pony rides, inflatables, arts and crafts, trade stalls and much much more.
