Armagh wrapped up a festive speculator on Sunday after a four-day celebration of the city’s unique Georgian history, heritage and architectural beauty.
With one of the most extensive programmes of activity ever assembled in its 19-year history, organiser Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council said thousands of visitors had attended the award-winning heritage-themed festivities – including the hugely popular Georgian Day and ‘A Fairytale of Armagh’ light show extravaganza at Market Square on Friday and Saturday night.
One of the largest outdoor festivals ever held on the island of Ireland, it has welcomed hundreds of thousands of new and regular visitors since it was first established in 2004.
The annual festival sees Armagh come alive with Georgian characters walking the streets, music events, carriage rides around the historic Mall, an array of food & craft stalls, a choice of Georgian-themed guided tours and plenty of food and drink events in its many restaurants, cafés and pubs.
