An investigation has been launched following a suspected arson attack in Armagh on Sunday night.
City fire crews were called to the scene of a derelict building on the Newry Road shortly after 8pm.
A NIFRS spokesperson, speaking to Armagh I, said the crews were tasked to the blaze at 8.05pm.
“Firefighters were called to a fire in a derelict building on the Newry Road, Armagh,” they said.
“Two appliances from Armagh Fire Station attended the incident.
“Firefighters used two breathing apparatuses, a hose reel jet and a thermal image camera to extinguish the fire. The fire was under control by 9.15pm.
“The cause has been determined as deliberate.”
The incident has since been passed over to police to investigate.
