One Armagh family propelled their fundraising efforts to new heights with almost £5,000 raised for the NI Air Ambulance.

The Kennedy family from Milford, alongside supportive family and friends, proudly presented Air Ambulance Northern Ireland with a remarkable cheque, totalling £4,771.

This generous donation exemplifies the unwavering support of the community and beyond towards the life-saving efforts of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS).

Motivated by a desire to give back to the service that has been a lifeline to many in their local area, the family and close-knit community rallied together to raise funds for their local air ambulance.

The dedication and compassion in their fundraising efforts from friends and community was evident, resulting in such a significant contribution.

From vibrant 50th Birthday celebrations at the Armagh City Hotel, to a busy coffee morning hosted at the Lislea Old School Community Centre, the overwhelming support extended wide and far.

The Kennedy Family deeply appreciate the vital services provided by Air Ambulance NI and their support will allow the medical team to continue flying to the next critical patient.

Amy Henshaw, Area Fundraising Manager for Air Ambulance NI, expressed sincere gratitude to the Kennedy Family and local community.

She said: “The HEMS team are tasked on average twice a day, responding to some of the sickest patients, that need urgent and critical medical interventions.

“The charity aspires to raise £2.5 million each year, equating to £6,850 every single day. The generosity from local communities will contribute to funding the next life-saving mission, ensuring that HEMS remains operational and accessible to all. Thank you to all for supporting your local air ambulance.”
