Malcolm marks milestone birthday aiming for 50 miles in one day!

Malcolm Kingston, Rector of St Marks Church Armagh is taking on a big challenge before a milestone birthday!

He started his journey at 5am this morning (Friday) and has already hit his first target.

To mark his upcoming 50th birthday, he has set himself the challenge to walk 50km (approximately 31 miles today) and if able, to continue the challenge further and hit 50 miles!

When we caught up with Malcolm, shortly after lunchtime, he had just hit the 43km mark and will soon smash his first target of 50km. His new target is to hit 50 miles which he estimates will take him up to 10pm tonight.

If you would like to join Malcolm for a mile or two this afternoon or evening, you will find him on the following route : The Mall East, Victoria Street, past Deansbridge shop, College Hill and back to Mall East.

The challenge will raise money for his nominated charities: PIPS Hope & Support, Marie Curie and St Mark’s, Armagh.
