A man armed with a golf club smashed up possessions inside a Tullysaran home before making off with electrical items on Monday morning.
Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following the report of an aggravated burglary in the Artasooley Close area.
Just before 9.25am, police received a report that a man armed with a golf club had entered a home in the cul-de-sac.
The man proceeded to threaten the occupants of the property with the golf club before smashing possessions and making off with a number of electrical items.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody at this time.
A police spokesperson said: “This was a terrifying experience for the residents of the property and we would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 426 of 31/10/22.”
