Man arrested for ‘possession of offensive weapon’ following disturbance at KFC Armagh

Police received a report of youths causing a disturbance at a takeaway restaurant in the Lonsdale Road area of Armagh on Saturday, December 7.

It is understood that video footage is in circulation revealing the incident to have occurred within the carpark area at KFC, Armagh.

At approximately 9.40pm, it was reported that a number of teenagers had been threatening staff and attempted to break a window.

Officers attended and a man who had intervened during the disturbance was arrested a number of offences including possession of an offensive weapon, and disorderly behaviour.

He has since been released on bail and a file has been sent to the Public Prosecution Service to be reviewed.
