A man was cut from a car and rescued from a ditch following a three-vehicle collision on the Dobbin Road outside Portadown earlier today (Thursday).
Ambulance crews took two injured people – a man and woman – from the scene close to the Centra shortly after 10.30am.
Two fire crews from Portadown and one appliance from Lurgan fire station attended the incident following the call at 10.35am.
A NIFRS spokesperson told Armagh I: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving three vehicles, including a car in a ditch on Dobbin Road in Portadown.
“Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment and ladders to rescue a male casualty from the car.
“Another female casualty was out of her vehicle when firefighters arrived. Both casualties were transferred to the care of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and taken to hospital. The incident was dealt with by 12.10pm.”
The Ambulance Service said they despatched two emergency crews to the scene and following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, two people were transported separately to Craigavon Area Hospital.
The road was re-opened in the early part of the afternoon.
