An eye-witness told Armagh I: “The incident had just happened when we arrived on the scene.
”Police were tending to an elderly man on the ground. It wasn’t clear what had happened but the poor man was covered in blood.
“We’re just praying the man is okay but it looked like he had plenty of help, so fingers crossed he makes a full recovery.”
The incident follows a similar collision close by just 24 hours earlier. On that occasion the road remained open with the collision deemed “minor”, according to a separate eye-witness.
