A Moy man who has been “warned about drugs in the past” must wait until next month to be sentenced for his latest offence.
The district judge commented that the 28-year-old was someone “who could do community service”, whilst ordering a probation report exploring such an order.
Ryan Crawford, of Churchview, Moy, pleaded guilty to possession of Class A and possession of Class B drugs at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Prosecution outlined that the offence related to 0.72g of cannabis and one MDMA tablet.
District Judge Paul Copeland commented: “This man has been warned about drugs in the past. I can see that from his record.”
Defence barrister Scott McWhinney informed the court that Crawford was currently unemployed and received benefits.
District Judge Copeland stated: “I am going to require a specific sentence report in this case. I think this is a man who could do community service.”
The case was adjourned until March 24 for sentencing.
