A man accused of strangling a woman in Armagh is set to go on trial in June.
Ingus Bergmanis, of Newry Road, Armagh, appeared before Newry Crown Court on Tuesday also accused of threats to kill, indictable common assault and a domestic abuse offence.
During a brief arraignment hearing, the 44-year-old confirmed his name and date of birth.
When each of the four charges were put to him he pleaded “not guilty”.
None of the facts were outlined in court.
Prosecution counsel stated that trial is expected to last around three days and there are six witnesses, two of whom have been already agreed with the defence.
The trial was listed for June 2 with a review to take place on May 6.
Bergmanis was released on continuing bail until then.
