A massive pothole on the Hamiltonsbawn Road has led to a string of motorists suffering damage to their vehicles this evening.
The huge crater – just past Kildarton – has reopened have earlier been filled in.
One motorist who fell foul of the chasm said: “It’s a major pothole.
“The same hole was only filled in a few weeks back.
“There is a queue of eight cars at the side of the road changing tyres.
“The spring in our own car has been broken.”
The pothole has been reported to the authorities in the hope of something being done.
Local DUP Alderman Gareth Wilson reported it last year and repair work had been carried out.
But it has since opened up again and is proving hazardous to motorists.
He said: “There is an issue under the road with water bubbling up which needs sorted. This needs to be done or this will just keep happening.”
For now motorists are advised to take extreme care when travelling on this stretch of road.
