Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision near Middletown this afternoon (Friday).
Police have described a crash on the Monaghan Road as “serious” and have advised motorists to avoid the area altogether.
As a result, the road is closed between the junctions with Kilcreevy Road and Madden Road.
Please seek an alternative route for your journey.
A Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) spokesperson said: “We received a 999 call at 2:18pm on Friday, May 16, following reports of an RTC on the Monaghan Road area of Middletown.
“NIAS despatched two Emergency Ambulance Crews, an Ambulance Officer and three Rapid Response Paramedics to the scene.
“No one was taken from the scene.”
