New apartments and housing development in pipeline for Blackwatertown

The works would require the demolition of an existing property on the Ballycullen Road

Blackwatertown housing development

A new mixed residential scheme – consisting of houses and apartments – could be built in Blackwatertown.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s planners are currently considering an application that if approved will see a house demolished to make way for the scheme.

Lodged by applicant McCreanor and Co Architects on behalf of applicant CJM Enterprises Ltd, the application seeks permission to demolish an existing property at 156 Ballycullen Road, Blackwatertown.

It also seeks permission to replace this dwelling with a two-storey development consisting of one detached house, two semi-detached houses and a block of four apartments.

According to the application form submitted with the development, the 0.28 hectare site is in use as an existing dwelling and agricultural vacant lands.

Surface water from the development will be disposed of via a public storm drain and foul sewage will be disposed of via the mains.
