There are plans in the pipeline for a new pizza restaurant just off Market Street in Armagh.
The development, if given the go-ahead, would add to the already plentiful supply of dining facilities in the city’s commercial heart.
With Uluru, Embers, Rumour and the Basement Cafe all trading and hugely popular with visitors and locals alike, Armagh’s latest Upper English Street eatery would hope to add a slice of something different!
Proposals, in the name of Matthew Sherry – the owner of nearby pizza takeaway Basil Lane – have been lodged with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
The property in question is a former clothing store at 3 Upper English Street, sandwiched between Around A Pound and New Look.
The applicant is seeking a “change of use from ground floor retail unit”. And the new enterprise will be a pizza restaurant, for dining on and off the premises.
The basement would be used for storage and preparation area, as well as toilet provision, while the first floor would be unchanged.
The proposals will now be advertised shortly.
