Over £3,000 raised and counting as Willie’s Christmas book is exceeding all expectations!

The Armagh man is thrilled and would like to say: 'Your support is the best Christmas gift l could ever have wished for'

Sales of a charity Christmas book by Armagh’s champion fundraiser Willie Nugent have exceeded all expectations.

It is going so well that already more than £3,000 has been raised.

This means his chosen charities – Friends of the Cancer Centre City Hospital Belfast; Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and Guide Dogs for the Blind – will each receive over £1,000 each.

The final total will be known in the New Year.

It was after the success of his Christmas book last year, ‘The Wee Dog that Saved Christmas in Armagh’, that Willie decided to write a follow-up story this year entitled ‘Santa Invites Maisie to the North Pole’.

Copies of the book are priced at £5. They are available at the following Armagh outlets: Armagh Blooms and Gifts Killylea Rd; Pet World Thomas St; Dessie’s English St; TG Hawthorns Scotch St; Macaris, English St; Trimprint, English St; Curran’s Spar Shop, Cathedral Rd, Raffles, English St; The Flower Shop-O’Kanes, Moy Rd; Gazette Shop, Scotch St.

Willie’s Christmas message to everyone is quite simple.

He told Armagh I : “Your support is the best Christmas gift l could ever have wished for.

“Stay safe and have a Happy and Peaceful Christmas.”
