Pictures show lucky escape for teen brothers after Keady Road collision

Two teenage brothers had a lucky escape after a road traffic collision on the main Armagh to Keady Road yesterday (Tuesday) evening.

It happened at the crossroads at Drumconwell Road, at around 4pm.

A taxi and a blue Peugeot car were involved in the collision and emergency services attended the scene.

The two brothers, aged 14 and 19, were taken to Craigavon Area Hospital for treatment to their injuries.

Their father told Armagh I that neither had sustained “serious” injuries.

One lane of the road was closed for a time.

This is the latest in a series of accidents on this particular stretch of road, with three reported over the Christmas period.

Just a few hundred metres, in the direction of Keady, a huge upgrade to the tune of £250,000 was carried out a bid to improve road safety.
